Hello Again,

This edition of TwansList contains some redundancies, as most of the  
information contained herein had already been posted on the L.A.  
Burner's list as well as a couple others. However, since these events  
are by far the best and brightest for this weekend, I feel that they  
deserve multiple mention. Do come on down for the festivities. You  
won't regret the choice!

Ever since I set the first L.A. Decom in motion in 2003, the event  
has just gotten better in each incarnation. Having stepped aside in  
2006 as the L.A. regional director, I don't know who is currently  
running the show, but it makes me proud to know that the event that I  
helped engender keeps growing and improving. The lineup is impressive  
and the location is excellent (we used to talk about doing it in this  
location in previous years, but it wasn't until this year that that  
stars aligned for the location change). The L.A. Decom is NOT to be  
missed!

No doubt, after the Decompression ends at midnight, you'll have  
energy and excitement enough to carry you thru the night. There are  
two exceptional after parties to fill your needs. Read on for more info!

Also, congratulations are in order for Christopher Fulling (http:// 
www.burningmanopera.org) and the lovely Betsy McCall, who are  
stepping into marriage on October 4th. The wedding will take place at  
in Italy at the incredible, inspirational Art Monastery (http:// 
www.artmonastery.org), of which Christopher and Betsy are the  
founding directors. Alas, I am supposed to be there with them right  
now, but I could not pull it off due to circumstances beyond my  
control. Fare thee well my friends! Live long and prosper!

P.S. I'm still looking for a new place to live. I've been floating  
around for the past two months, house-sitting, couch surfing, and bed- 
warming, taking my time to find the ideal living situation. I didn't  
think it would take this long! Any leads, info or ideas that might be

The following is an abridged version, since all this info has been

RAIN or SHINE.

Decompression is in a new location! Huge thanks to the Planning Team  
for pulling this off; we're gathering at
the Los Angeles State Historical Park, AKA the Cornfield, this year.  
It's still downtown, and the directions are below.

No more partying on the streets, now we have acres of beautiful lawn  
all with the amazing view of downtown we have always had. Be prepared  
to get your shoes dusty! The Cornfield is really a field, and the  
dust definitely kicks up while dancing.

One important note: The Decompression parking lot will be closing  
after the event, around midnight, so park mindfully, and make sure to  
read the parking notes if you are planning to attend an afterparty.

The location is at:
Los Angeles State Historical Park
1245 N. Spring Street, 90012

Time:  The festivities will start at Noon and end at Midnight.
Cost: Admission to the event may be gained thusly:

$10 in costume or with a Metro Rail pass!
$20 in street clothes.
(Children under 12 are FREE!)

We are very grateful to the State Park Rangers for allowing us to use  
their wonderful location.  When you see them around, tell them  
thanks. They have been truly great to work with.

** SUN. OCT. 5: FRANCIS DELLA VECCHIA'S MOVIE SCREENING **

Dear Friends,

I'm writing to tell you about a short film I just produced, along  
with a great team of producers, talented actors, and amazing director  
and crew.  We made the whole film in 7 days, as part of the Elevate  
Film Festival.  It was a wild ride and I am so proud of the film we  
have created.

The film is called Help Wanted, and tells the story of an immigrant  
auto mechanic in Los Angeles.

If you are in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 5, please come see the  
premiere of the film at the Elevate Film Festival.  Join 7000 people  
in seeing this unique festival appear on a massive screen at the  
Nokia Theatre in downtown L.A.

The festival features films, music videos and commercials, all made  
in 7 days, with the common theme of somehow elevating the consciousness.
