Well, here we are, almost half of 2009 gone... and this being only  
the 2nd posting to this here list. With so many methods available to  
us to get the information we want, it's difficult to keep motivated  
putting these postings together. I'll try to pick up the pace!

** LATEX FASHION SCHOOL -  IS LOOKING TO HOST AN L.A. EVENT **

I have a new friend Polly from the Kinky Salon ( http:// 
kinkysalon.com/ ) in San Francisco. She is one of the most  
fascinating and superfun people ever. An unspeakably rad brittish  
hottie.

Polly is starting a latex fashion school -- actually, it is classes  
in how to build your own latex clothing. She's looking for a place to  
host this class in L.A.

Do you have or know of a place that could work for Polly for this  
exceptional endeavor? She is looking for a space with tables and  
chairs that fits 10-15 people the week of June 16 - 20 for only one  
night.

SAT. MAY 23: RED LIGHTNING AT THE MALIBU PHOENIX RESORT **

What are YOU doing for Memorial Day weekend???

We invite you to join us so we may dance together on sacred land as
magickal forest creatures in celebration of the arrival of summer! At
Red Lightning, the journey of music, art, celebration, and ceremony will
last all day... and into the night!!!

We are blessed with an amazing location in nature at the beautiful
Malibu Phoenix Resort. Our main pool~side/hot tub celebration includes
DJs and a bar that's available all day from 2 in the  afternoon till 12
midnight.  A nearby gazebo will house a variety of music & art
installations.  Food will be served by Divine Nourishment, and our
decoration provided by Greensector. This is a safe, private place on
many acres with gardens and a very special sacred space...

We will lead groups to a tangible vortex that has been recognized for
its healing feminine energy for 10,000 years.  This natural power point
will host our initiation into a new way of honoring the divine feminine
and sacred masculine in all of us.  Please join us in performing and
celebrating this union in rituals we'll hold throughout the day.  And
when night falls...

The ritual will continue as Lightning Temple performers and their kin
use the art of Fire~Dance in ceremony...  Our performances will have a
spiritual purpose, and may be used to focus our minds on sacred
intentions which are spoken for our inspiration and delight!!!

Circo Loco Coming May 24, 2009

Hi everyone, I'll be performing at circo loco this Sunday night. I'll  
be doing an aerial silks solo at 10 pm and than a new aerial rope  
trio act after midnight. If you haven't bought tickets yet, do it now  
because they go up to $40 at the door. Also, If you'd like to help us  
get the word out we'd love you even more than we already do!!! So

In addition to stellar performances by the band, our eponymous debut  
features terrific mixing by Steve "Steve B" Baughman, whose credits  
include Snoop Dogg, Michael Jackson, and Eminem, believe it or not;

everyone from the Black Eyed Peas to U2 to the Wu-Tang Clan.

than five vintage squeezeboxes and a horn section blessed with a  
handful of virtuosos, Killsonic marched their final song out of the

Quazar and the Bamboozled is an unusually fun rock & roll band.   
Their sound is eclectic, but with a strong classic New Orleans R&B  
influence -- they're sort of a cross between Dr. John, and the  
infamous Dr. Teeth & The Electric Mayhem band from "The Muppet  
Show."  The band has appeared live with everyone from the Peking  
Acrobats to the Ditty Bops, including a performance at the Hollywood  
Bowl.

moxy phinx features the dramatically twisted vocal stylings of the  
great Katrina Lenk, who was recently named Best Musical Performer at  
the LA Weekly Theater Awards (as the lead in "Lovelace: A Rock  
Opera").  Described as a hybrid of Bjork and Marlene Dietrich, she'll  
be accompanied by and interacting with six dancers choreographed by  
Janet Roston.

** JUN. 6: MARRAKESH HOUSE GREEN RESIDENCE GRAND OPENING **
Friends,

As you may have heard, I've just completed a remodel of a 1950s  
hillside home in Culver City.  The result is "Marrakesh House" a  
green residence and entertainment space that mixes mid-century modern  
architecture with Moroccan design.

The house has a lot of cool features including a solar powered  
electric car garage and plenty of indoor/outdoor space.  To celebrate  
the completion, we're planning a Grand Opening Benefit Party on June  
6th and we'd love you to be here.

Some incredible musicians and dancers are going to join us including  
the incomparable Ben Lee, Middle Eastern fusion band Danvayaad, world  
electronica group Naked Rhythm and live animals from the Wildlife  
Learning Center.  We've chosen a group of local organizations to  
receive any profits from our weekend launch.

holds so many people.

Images are power. In this dynamic era compelling design can move
millions and transcendent art can inspire a generation. From cave
paintings of early man to today's industrial designers, art & design
has uniquely shaped the world around us, each in its own distinct
way. This contest is designed to answer the age old question: What
shapes our world more, art or design?

To find the answer, we need YOU to enter the dialogue.

Mark Mothersbaugh, acclaimed artist and lead singer of art-rock band
DEVO leads a panel of judges including Jarrett Gregory (curator at
NYC's New Museum) and Donwan Harrell (founder and creative director of
Akademiks clothing) in selecting the top artist or designer to be
featured at a gala reception at the New Museum in June. The public
also plays judge - determining the most powerful medium of the moment -
in an online face-off that pits art submissions against design
submissions.

Opportunities will be created for everyone who participates and we are
awarding over $11,000 in prizes.

Grand Prize & Student winner will be awarded with:

* A gala reception the New Museum in New York City
