Hello Again,
Long time no communicate. I hope you've been well and happy in some
way. Here we are in October already, and this being only the 4th
posting sent out to this list this year. With so many options for
information sharing and social networking, I figure that consistent
posting to this list may be a bit redundant. So I hope you don't mind
getting the occasional updates from me from time to time. Not to
mention that I've been out of the country for three months, and
getting ready to leave the country again for a few more, which makes
it a bit more challenging in being a consistent list master...
However, while I'm temporarily here in L.A., I might as well send out
some info regarding some exciting events happening now and in the
very near future. Let's see... we've got the Water Woman Festival
starting today through Sunday in Joshua Tree, The L.A. Burning Man
Decompression this Saturday, the San Francisco Burning Man
Decompression, "How to Survive the Apocalypse: A Burning Opera" also
in SF, and a host of other happenings for your hedonistic,
voyeuristic, and participatory pleasure.
Do what thou wilt!

** SF: HOW TO SURVIVE THE APOCALYPSE: A BURNING OPERA **
http://www.burningopera.com
October 5, 6, 7
October 12, 13, 14
Teatro Zinzanni in San Francisco
(Make the road trip, train or flight to SF. You DO NOT want to miss
this show. Produced in part by my old partners from the Burning Man
Operas. We hoped to set it up in L.A. as well, but I was out of the
country and couldn't help with production... so sad... But,
nonetheless, it's going to be stellar! Make the journey! -- Twan)
Less than One Week 'til Opening Night: Do You Have YOUR Tickets?
Incredibly, it's only ONE WEEK until Opening Night 10/5 -- if you've
not done so
already, buy your tickets NOW! Booths and Inner Ring tix are going
fast; there's
good availability nearly every night in the Outer Ring. (And every
seat in the
spiegeltent is a good seat -- the total capacity of the tent is only
285!)
Shows are M-T-W 10/5-7 and 10/12-14 ONLY.
To buy tickets, go directly to our page at Teatro ZinZanni's site at
http://love.zinzanni.org/burningopera.htm
Much more information about tickets, what to expect, the special menu
that ZinZanni
has created for that night, etc. is on our site
http://www.burningopera.com/home/calendar/
If you were one of the attendees at the workshop -- be aware: the
show is very
substantially different than what you saw, with more than 50% new
material, a whole
new cast, lots of new characters, sets....... why, it's a Real Show!
New Cast Photos Are Up -- Check 'em Out!
Famed photographer (and friend-of-the-production) Michael Rauner
stopped by the
spielgeltent last week during rehearsals and shot some great pictures
of selected
cast members. See if you recognize any of these playa creatures!
www.michaelrauner.com/opera.
He'll also be attending Tuesday's Dress Rehearsal, so check back with
the site as new photos are added!
News from our Hosts at Teatro ZinZanni
Teatro ZinZanni Introduces BREVÉ - Brunch with A Twist!
An abbreviated mid-day show that includes a delicious
three-course gourmet bruch designed by TZ Executive Chef Patrick
Fassino. BREVÉ
will feature the cast from Teatro ZinZanni's current show, UNDER THE
GYPSY MOON,
featuring sultry blues singer Duffy Bishop and legendary comic actor
Geoff Hoyle.
It's the perfect excuse to wear your tiara at Noon. Brunch
performances start September 26 and runs on alternate Saturdays.
I hope you'll want to stay in touch! We can't possibly do this
project successfully
without the support of you, our community!
