Hello Again,

Welcome to the Saturday evening edition 007 of TwansList. Contained  
herein are a couple event reminders for tonight as well as some  
upcoming treats. The always fun Venice Beach Carnevale is going off  
tonight, as well as Paynie's Red Loft in downtown L.A. with another  
installment of the hugely popular "Instant Gratification" parties.  
Check below for the details on both of these excellent choices.

Also, stay tuned for my write-up about the exceptional Lightning in a  
Bottle event from last weekend. Should be posted to the Twan's List

** TONITE JUN. 5 - 8TH ANNUAL VENICE BEACH CARNIVALE **

CARNEVALE! VENICE BEACH, Saturday June 5th

The Costumed Celebration by the Sea returns for the 8th year!

The party starts at 8:30 PM and ends at approximately 3:30 AM at  
Mission Control, West Los Angeles

DJ’S Fatfinger, Todd Spero, and divaDanielle will be spinning along  
with performances by circus artists, fire spinners, The Incomparable  
Miss Edda James, The Harissa Dance ensemble. Blinking Man, the  
fabulous Space Wench Galleon, La-Dee-Dred, exotic dancers, and more  
and more…

How to become a sponsor of the 8th Annual Carnevale Venice Beach and  
attend the Masquerade Benefit on Saturday, June 5th.
(NOTE:  There is no public event on the streets of Venice this year)

A donation of $15.00 qualifies you to be on the guest list for the  
masquerade party.  Soft drinks, juice & water will be available.

A donation of $35.00 or more entitles you to be on the VIP guest list  
that includes an open bar for the evening.

We will have a table across from the Waterfront Café (just north of  
Rose Avenue on the Boardwalk) 6 PM – 8 PM Thursday & Friday, June 3 &  
4th and you can pay by cash, credit, or check there.

Be sure to put the name or names you want on the guest list into your  
paypal or mail order and include a contact e-mail.  (Paypal  
automatically notifies us that you have deposited money and we will  
send you a confirmation e-mail)

You must make your donation in advance (a requirement of the venue).

There will be a limitation on the number of people who can attend and  
we need to manage that number by taking reservations in advance.

The exact location and instructions for parking and entering will be  
sent out to sponsors on the guest list when the payment is received.  
(This is a requirement of the owners of the private property where we  
are holding the Masquerade)  BE SURE WE HAVE YOUR E-MAIL!

You must be 21 or over to attend and you must show a valid I.D. that  
night to enter the Masquerade.

COME IN COSTUME!!   There is a $75.00 cash prize for the best  
costume.  Erotic and exotic attire is encouraged!!

An "Instant Gratification" show starts out with blank walls - nothing  
to see. Then everyone has a personal little "photoshoot", alone or  
with friends, the photos get printed, and soon the place is full with  
shiny happy portraits. Take yours home for only $30. Extra prints and  
downloads are also available.

* Since 2000, the Temple has been a place for catharsis, remembrance,  
and rebirth, offering Burning Man participants a physical reminder to  
embrace change.

Drawing its inspiration from canyons carved over time by wind and  
water, the Temple of Flux rises from the desert floor as a series of  
gracefull double-curved walls.  Their wide, heavy bases taper as they  
ascend, leading the eye from a solid urban foundation to an  
increasingly fragmented upper edge as these long angles reach to the  
sky.

The Temple is a collaborative effort of three long-time community  
artists; Rebecca Anders, Jess Hobbs, and Peter Kimelman; along with  
numerous Burning Man communities and friends.

We have a huge range of experience and backgrounds, with one unifying  
vision:  creating awe-inspiring, memorable art that emerges from the  
community and influences change.
