Black Rock City is rising. I know that most of the folks receiving this message will be there soon. How sweet it is! Though I won't be on the Playa this year, I am currently involved with a large-scale production which will have a presence on the Playa called "Manifest Your Avatar". "Manifest Your Avatar" is a slice of a much larger project currently in the works, the details of which I will reveal in a future posting. It is being produced by myself and some of my partners from the Burning Man Opera (http://www.burningmanopera.org) and the creators of "How to Survive the Apocalypse: A Burning Opera". Check in with the Manifest Your Avatar booth at the Kostume Kult @ 8:30 & Esplanade to have your Avatar documented. Read about it below. Also, coming up next month: the return of Flammable Liquid! This will be an awesome event Flammable Liquid was the first of L.A.'s after hours parties in the very early 1990's, when the "underground" was really underground. I used help the producers, and so I had the privilege of being there from the very beginning. For about a 2 year period, Flam was perhaps the best underground event experiences to be had, not only in L.A., but the entire country. Total catharsis on the dance floor. Th?e coolest people to be around. The good vibes were so thick you could cut it with a spoon. Totally delicious. Try a bite and see for yourself!
